These beautiful leads are made of lightly waxed cordo-hyde, which helps it to resist water and stay gathered in hand if you ball it up during gaiting. The leads are 3/16" thick x 48" or 56" long and may be purchased as-is, or combined with light weight lampwork glass beads.
To have beads added to a Cordo-Hyde lead simply purchase the lead and beads and it will be made for you.
Due to the extreme light weight of the lead a maximum of two settings in beads is allowed. The best options are those categorized as Grooming Loop options (when viewing beads check "more filters").
A satin kindness collar and 7" handle are on each, with a resco style collar and locking slide clip. This lead is perfect for toy or small breeds and excellent for training puppies of all breeds to show.
The cordo hyde lead is lightweight and able to be balled up in your palm during gaiting.
The kindness collar is a soft, satin neck piece which allows pressure to be dispersed at the throat. This kindness pad is excellent for protecting the sensitive trachea of smaller breeds. Due to this, it is not a recommended correction or training lead and should be used in the show ring.
The resco slide-clip is a tight hold, yet allows for one handed adjustments to be made quickly, for the perfect collar fit.
Our lampwork beads are hand made by artists around the world, using a torch and glass rod which is fired and annealed in a kiln for strength afterwards and smoothed for use in show leads.

Purchases of glass beads only will be considered a reserve of beads for use on custom crafted leads within 3 months. You will be contacted regarding the specifics for your lead order. If no agreement is reached, your bead purchase will be refunded in full. Beads are not shipped out separately.

Included with each show lead order you'll find a container of leather conditioner. Use sparingly, as needed. For more information on how to care for leather visit Caring for your leather.
Glass Beads Care:
We use only kiln annealed glass beads and those which have the proper thickness for the size of hole. This ensures their strength and integrity are optimal. You do not have to be overly cautious but it does not mean unbreakable.
Take care of your glass as you would any glass item. Store your lead in the bag it came in or in a cloth bag and clean glass with a damp cloth if needed. Leather conditioner is not for use on glass beads or their settings.
